Ceruloplasmin is a plasma metalloprotein that that binds most of the copper in plasma. Human ceruloplasmin is composed of a single polypeptide chain. Ceruloplasmin deficiency leads to iron accumulation and cuases damages to a varieties of tissues and organs.
