Description:
The protein encoded by this gene is a homolog of yeast Bet1 protein which is a golgi-associated protein that participates in vesicular transport from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus. Studies with the rat homolog suggest that it is localized in the vesicular structures, and may be involved in the docking process of ER-derived vesicles with the cis-Golgi membrane.
