Gene:
CD27-binding (Siva) protein
Description:
This protein seems to have an important role in the apoptotic (programmed cell death) pathway induced by the CD27 antigen, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TFNR) superfamily, and it also binds to the CD27 antigen cytoplasmic tail. Two splice variants have been found for this gene that differ by a 193 nucleotide length internal insertion sequence in the coding region. The resulting proteins are 110 and 175 amino acids long.
