Description:
This beta-like tubulin localizes to the peri-centriolar material in a cell cycle-dependent way. It first localzizes to the older centrosome in a newly duplicated pair, but then associates with both. Although the gene was reported to map to chromosome 17, it appears to lie on chromosome 6q.
