Researchers will also compare if different mental imagery exercises involving leg extension or squats will change leg strength.\n\nParticipants will be asked to:\n\n* Participate in two testing sessions to make measurements of leg function\n* Complete about 10 minutes of mental imagery exercises once per day for five days at home and write down whether they complete the exercises."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* post anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) surgery\n* cleared to participate in physical therapy\n* currently in physical therapy related to ACLR\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* greater than 9 months post ACLR surgery\n* history of lower back of hip pain that would limit lower limb motor testing\n* current neurological condition that limits muscle strength\n* history of substance abuse in the last 5 years\n* any uncontrolled medical condition\n* inability to follow 2-step commands'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT06858293', 'briefTitle': 'Mental Imagery to Improve Quadriceps Strength Post Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction: a Feasibility Study', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Marquette University'}, 'officialTitle': 'Mental Imagery of Open and Closed Chain Exercises to Improve Quadriceps Strength Post Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction: a Feasibility Study', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'HR-4875'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'Mental Imagery Open Chain', 'description': 'Participants will receive a paper packet with instructions to imagine themselves performing seated maximal leg extension exercises.
