Unfortunately, no clinical criteria has been found correlated with efficacy. The quantity of lung edema, with increased lung weight, could be a determinant factor of efficacy and the persistance of the efficacy. EVLWi, assessed with the PiCCO2 device, reflects the quantity of fluid accumulated in interstitial and alveolar spaces.\n\nThe hypothesis is that patients with higher EVLWi will have less efficacy of prone position in oxygenation and also that the beneficial effects of prone position will last shorter compared to patients with lower EVLWi.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '99 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'samplingMethod': 'NON_PROBABILITY_SAMPLE', 'studyPopulation': 'Patients with moderate-to-severe ARDS in whom prone positioning is deemed necessary', 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age ≥18 years\n* Presence of acute respiratory distress syndrome\n* Decision to perform prone position according to the physician in charge of the patient\n* Hemodynamic monitoring with a PiCCO2 device (Pulsion Medical Systems, Feldkirchen, Allemagne)\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Absence of affiliation to the French Sociale security\n* Patient under a tutelage measure or placed under judicial protection\n* Known pregnancy\n* Currently receiving ECMO therapy'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT04635267', 'briefTitle': 'Effects of Extravascular Lung Water on Prone Position Efficacy in Patients With ARDS', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Bicetre Hospital'}, 'officialTitle': 'Effects of Extravascular Lung Water on Prone Position Efficacy in Patients With Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '2020-A03094-35'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'label': 'patients with ARDS', 'interventionNames': ['Other: Prone position in patients with ARDS']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Prone position in patients with ARDS', 'type': 'OTHER', 'description': 'Transpulmonary thermodilution, arterial blood gas and recruitment/inflation calculation will be made every 8 hours: at baseline (just before prone position), after eight hours of prone position, after 16 hours of prone position (end of prone position), after 24 hours ( 8 hours after the end of prone position).', 'armGroupLabels': ['patients with ARDS']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'centralContacts': [{'name': 'Xavier Monnet, MD, PhD', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'xavier.monnet@aphp.fr', 'phone': '+33-(0)6660862669'}, {'name': 'Christopher Lai, MD', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'christopher.lai@aphp.fr', 'phone': '+33-(0)145212671'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'UNDECIDED'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Bicetre Hospital', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'investigatorTitle': 'doctor', 'investigatorFullName': 'Christopher Lai', 'investigatorAffiliation': 'Bicetre Hospital'}}}}
