In the United States of America, it is estimated that death from the use of opioids outnumber death from motor vehicle accident deaths by more than 40%. Consequently, many countries such as America and Canada have drawn up guidelines pertaining to safe opioid prescribing.\n\nTramadol is often used by pain physicians to treat chronic pain. As it is a weak opioid and unscheduled in many countries, it is often considered to have a lower addiction potential compared to strong opioids. Despite this, the literature does reveal evidence of abuse, addiction and withdrawal - although the incidence of this is unclear.\n\nIn this study, the investigators aim to determine the prevalence of tramadol misuse in a pain clinic population. The investigators also aim to determine the real-life compliance of physicians to guidelines provided by International regulatory bodies (CDC) and the modifiable risk factors associated with tramadol misuse.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['CHILD', 'ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'samplingMethod': 'PROBABILITY_SAMPLE', 'studyPopulation': 'Patients who attends pain clinic in SGH, SKGH and CGH.', 'healthyVolunteers': True, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* All patients attending pain clinic in Singapore General Hospital, Seng Kang General Hospital and Changi General Hospital\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n\\-'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT04813458', 'briefTitle': 'A Multi-centre Survey on Tramadol Abuse in Singapore', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Singapore General Hospital'}, 'officialTitle': 'A Multi-centre Survey on Tramadol Abuse in Singapore', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '202007-00107'}}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'city': 'Singapore', 'status': 'RECRUITING', 'country': 'Singapore', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Lydia Li', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'ydia.li.w@singhealth.com.sg', 'phone': '+6591295901'}], 'facility': 'Changi General Hospital', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 1.28967, 'lon': 103.85007}}, {'city': 'Singapore', 'status': 'RECRUITING', 'country': 'Singapore', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Diana Chan', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'diana.chan.x.h@singhealth.com.sg', 'phone': '+6594372568'}], 'facility': 'Seng Kang General Hospital', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 1.28967, 'lon': 103.85007}}, {'city': 'Singapore', 'status': 'RECRUITING', 'country': 'Singapore', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Christopher Liu', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'christopher.liu.w.y@singhealth.com.sg', 'phone': '+6582181062'}], 'facility': 'Singapore General Hospital', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 1.28967, 'lon': 103.85007}}], 'centralContacts': [{'name': 'Christopher Liu', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'christopher.liu.w.y@singhealth.com.sg', 'phone': '+6582181062'}, {'name': 'Diana Chan', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'diana.chan.x.h@singhealth.com.sg', 'phone': '+6594372568'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'UNDECIDED'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Singapore General Hospital', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'SPONSOR'}}}}
