This study will accomplish that overarching goal through addressing two specific aims.\n\nAim 1. Triple P's Effect on Pediatric Resident's Practice: test the effect of Triple P training on practice of pediatric residents in addressing and managing psychosocial problems.\n\nHypothesis 1: At the completion of the trial, residents assigned to the intervention group, compared to residents exposed to the control condition, will have:\n\n1. increased skill levels,\n2. increased confidence, and\n3. increased satisfaction in dealing with and managing psychosocial issues\n\nAim 2. Triple P's Effect on Parent and Child Outcomes: test the effect of Triple P interventions on parent's feelings of self efficacy, parent's discipline strategies and on children's externalizing behavior.\n\nHypothesis 2: At the completion of the intervention, parents and children receiving the intervention, compared to those receiving the control condition, will have:\n\n1. greater reduction in targeted child behavior problems,\n2. greater reduction in dysfunctional parenting practices,\n3. increased use of appropriate discipline and positive parenting strategies, and\n4. greater confidence in parenting ability."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['CHILD'], 'maximumAge': '12 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Months', 'healthyVolunteers': True, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria for Pediatric Resident:\n\n* Assigned to a participating continuity clinic\n\nExclusion Criteria for Pediatric Resident:\n\n* Not assigned to a participating continuity clinic\n\nInclusion Criteria for Parent:\n\n* Parent of an eligible child.\n* Speaks English\n\nExclusion Criteria for Parent:\n\n* A parent of an ineligible child\n* Non-English speaking\n\nInclusion Criteria for Child:\n\n* Treated by a participating resident\n* Between 18 months and 12 years old\n* Does not have any mental health diagnosis\n* Is not receiving medication or therapy from a professional\n\nExclusion Criteria for Child:\n\n* Not treated by a participating resident\n* Age falls outside of eligible range\n* Has a mental health diagnosis\n* Currently receiving medication or therapy from a professional'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT01946958', 'briefTitle': 'Triple P With Pediatric Residents', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': "Seattle Children's Hospital"}, 'officialTitle': 'Randomized Control Study of the Impact of Primary Care Triple P on Pediatric Residents and Their Patients', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'SCH-13683'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'Trained in Primary Care (PC) Triple P', 'description': 'This group received standardized training in Primary Care (PC) Triple P.', 'interventionNames': ['Behavioral: Training in PC Triple P']}, {'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'Care as Usal', 'description': 'This group provided care as usual.
