Men and women should use adequate birth control for at least 2 weeks after the last administration of sorafenib.\n* Women of childbearing potential must have a negative serum pregnancy test performed within 7 days prior to the start of treatment\n* Ability to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent. A signed informed consent must be obtained prior to any study specific procedures.\n* Adequate bone marrow, liver and renal function as assessed by the following:\n\n * Hemoglobin \\> 9.0 g/dl\n * Absolute neutrophil count (ANC) ≥ 1,500/mm3\n * Platelet count ≥ 100,000/mm3\n * Total bilirubin ≤ 1.5 times ULN\n* ALT and AST ≤ 2.5 times the ULN ( ≤ 5 x ULN for patients with liver involvement)\n* INR \\< 1.5 or a PT/PTT within normal limits. Patients receiving anti-coagulation treatment with an agent such as warfarin or heparin may be allowed to participate. For patients on warfarin, the INR should be measured prior to initiation of sorafenib and monitored at least weekly, or as defined by the local standard of care, until INR is stable.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Prior treatment with systemic chemotherapy (prior intravesical chemotherapy is permitted, and adjuvant therapy is permitted if \\> 12 months have lapsed)\n* Current, recent (within 4 weeks of the first infusion of this study), or planned participation in an experimental drug study\n* Cardiac disease: Congestive heart failure \\> class II NYHA. Patients must not have unstable angina (anginal symptoms at rest) or new onset angina (began within the last 3 months) or myocardial infarction within the past 6 months.\n* History of stroke within six months\n* Clinically significant peripheral vascular disease\n* Known brain metastasis.
