One common form of intervention is computerised cognitive training (CT); however, efficacy results have been mixed. This research aims to investigate a novel method for enhancing outcomes from CT through combining CT with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a non-invasive and painless form of brain stimulation. In this study we aim to determine the efficacy of this approach through comparing in a randomized controlled study tDCS combined with CT versus CT and tDCS alone in healthy participants. We hypothesise that tDCS combined with CT will have greater generalisability effects than the other conditions."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '40 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': True, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Participants will be healthy right-handed subjects aged 18 to 40\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Concurrent medication likely to affect mental performance\n* History of drug or alcohol abuse or dependence current or in the last 3 months\n* Any psychiatric or neurological disorder, recent head injury, or history of seizure or stroke'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT01333306', 'briefTitle': 'Enhancing Cognitive Training Using tDCS', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'The University of New South Wales'}, 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '10269'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'tDCS and cognitive training', 'interventionNames': ['Procedure: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS)']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS)', 'type': 'PROCEDURE', 'armGroupLabels': ['tDCS and cognitive training']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '2031', 'city': 'Sydney', 'state': 'New South Wales', 'country': 'Australia', 'facility': 'Black Dog Institute Building', 'geoPoint': {'lat': -33.86785, 'lon': 151.20732}}]}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'The University of New South Wales', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'oldNameTitle': 'University of New South Wales', 'oldOrganization': 'University of New South Wales'}}}}
