The study determines the effectiveness of routine physical therapy with or without home-based intensive bimanual training on coordination of hands and daily activities of daily living. A nine months randomized control trial was comprised of thirty children with unilateral spastic cerebral palsy aged between 4 to 7 years. One group received routine physical therapy and the other group received a goal specific bimanual training from their parents in their home setting for 3.5 hours per week for 6 weeks according to a modified set up. Follow up sessions were done at 6th week. Activities of daily living and coordination were measured using Pediatric motor log activity scale and ABILHAND respectively.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['CHILD'], 'maximumAge': '7 Years', 'minimumAge': '4 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': True, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Spastic CP children\n\n * Both male and female\n * Age 4-7 years\n * Actively grasp of objects from table i.e., stuff toys, making blocks\n * One to one attention\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Cognitive delays preventing the child from following two-step instructions\n\n * Health diagnoses unassociated with USCP.\n * Parents unable to commit to entire duration of intervention.\n * Visual difficulties preventing performance of intervention tasks.'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT04755556', 'briefTitle': 'Effectiveness of Routine Physical Therapy With Intensive Bimanual Training in Cerebral Palsy Children', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'University of Lahore'}, 'officialTitle': 'Effectiveness of Routine Physical Therapy With or Without Home Based Intensive Bimanual Training on Clinical Outcomes in Cerebral Palsy Children: A Randomized Controlled Trial', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'IRB-UOL-FAHS/718-XI/2020'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'OTHER', 'label': 'Experimental group', 'description': 'Intensive bimanual training with routine physical therapy', 'interventionNames': ['Other: home based intensive bimanual training']}, {'type': 'OTHER', 'label': 'control group', 'description': 'routine physical therapy', 'interventionNames': ['Other: Routine Physical Therapy']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'home based intensive bimanual training', 'type': 'OTHER', 'description': 'Home Based Intensive Bimanual Training with Routine Physical Therapy bimanual training includes. functional activities play with ball, make a dough, make beads, make blocks .Routine Physical Therapy includes stretching spastic muscles, EMS, normalizing muscle tone.', 'armGroupLabels': ['Experimental group']}, {'name': 'Routine Physical Therapy', 'type': 'OTHER', 'description': 'Routine physical Therapy includes stretching spastic muscles, EMS, normalizing muscle tone.', 'armGroupLabels': ['control group']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '54000', 'city': 'Lahore', 'state': 'Punjab Province', 'country': 'Pakistan', 'facility': 'University of lahore', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 31.558, 'lon': 74.35071}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Fatima Ejaz, MS-PT', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'University of Lahore'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'NO', 'description': 'Results of the study'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'University of Lahore', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'SPONSOR'}}}}
