Lymphedema is the buildup of extra lymph fluid in tissues that causes swelling. Accurate volumetric measurements of swelling are crucial to the diagnosis of lymphedema and to monitoring response to therapy and disease progression over time. A mobile 3D surface scanning application may help doctors measure and analyze swelling in patients with head and neck lymphedema.', 'detailedDescription': 'PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:\n\nI. To develop a specialized and mobile 3D surface scanning application to assess and monitor head and neck lymphedema.\n\nII. To confirm optimal positioning when volumetrically assessing head and neck lymphedema using 3D technologies as consistent with standard plastic surgery departmental protocol.\n\nIII. To quantify and serially track changes in head and neck lymphedema in patients with pathologies and correlate these changes with overall patient well-being and disease progression.\n\nOUTLINE:\n\nPatients undergo 3D scanning of lower head and neck region over 90-120 seconds before surgery and then every 3 months for up to 1 year after surgery.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with pathologies leading to head and neck lymphedema\n* Individuals with minimal or no facial hair\n* Patients of sound mentation, who are able to execute informed decision-making\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Any health conditions or history of non-compliance that affect the study will preclude study participation'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT05243069', 'briefTitle': 'Head and Neck Cancer Patient Symptom and Oncologic Outcomes', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center'}, 'officialTitle': 'Head and Neck Cancer Patient Symptom and Oncologic Outcomes as a Function of Head and Neck Volume Changes', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'OSU-20210'}, 'secondaryIdInfos': [{'id': 'NCI-2020-08318', 'type': 'REGISTRY', 'domain': 'CTRP (Clinical Trial Reporting Program)'}]}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'Screening (3D scan)', 'description': 'Patients undergo 3D scanning of lower head and neck region over 90-120 seconds before surgery and then every 3 months for up to 1 year after surgery.', 'interventionNames': ['Procedure: Imaging Technique']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Imaging Technique', 'type': 'PROCEDURE', 'otherNames': ['Diagnostic Imaging Technique', 'Imaging', 'imaging procedure', 'Imaging Procedures', 'Imaging, Not Otherwise Specified', 'Medical Imaging'], 'description': 'Undergo 3D scanning', 'armGroupLabels': ['Screening (3D scan)']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '43210', 'city': 'Columbus', 'state': 'Ohio', 'status': 'RECRUITING', 'country': 'United States', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Roman Skoracki, MD', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'Roman.Skoracki@osumc.edu', 'phone': '614-293-8566'}, {'name': 'Roman Skoracki, MD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR'}], 'facility': 'Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 39.96118, 'lon': -82.99879}}], 'centralContacts': [{'name': 'The Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'OSUCCCClinicaltrials@osumc.edu', 'phone': '800-293-5066'}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Roman Skoracki, MD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'NO'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'investigatorTitle': 'Principal Investigator', 'investigatorFullName': 'Roman Skoracki', 'investigatorAffiliation': 'Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center'}}}}
