The first 4 weeks consisted of 1 session/week and the following 6 weeks consisted of 1 session/2 weeks. All movements and exercises are performed based on the individual's personal capacity in order to avoid distinct discomfort or pain. Patients testing positive for IBS will be recruited for the study from primary care. Measurements of IBS symptoms, visceral sensitivity, extraintestinal symptoms and quality of life will be assessed at pre-treatment, post-treatment and 6-month follow-up. Specific statistical methods will be performed to assess changes from pre- to post-treatments and changes from post-treatment to 6-month-follow-up. Effects sizes for within group changes will also be calculated."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '65 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* IBS diagnosis\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Prior yoga practise, unable to speak Swedish, other serious illness'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT04946604', 'briefTitle': 'Ashtangayoga for IBS Show Positive Preliminary Effects on Symptoms and Well-being', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Karolinska Institutet'}, 'officialTitle': 'Ashtangayoga for IBS Show Positive Preliminary Effects on Symptoms and Well-being in an Uncontrolled Pilot Study', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '751-17'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'OTHER', 'label': 'Ashtangayoga', 'description': 'Participants attanded eight yoga sessions, one hour long.', 'interventionNames': ['Behavioral: Ashtangayoga']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Ashtangayoga', 'type': 'BEHAVIORAL', 'description': 'This is an active and intense type of yoga, focused on physical activity and breath control', 'armGroupLabels': ['Ashtangayoga']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '11364', 'city': 'Stockholm', 'state': 'Stockholm County', 'country': 'Sweden', 'facility': 'Centre for psychatry research', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 59.32938, 'lon': 18.06871}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Perhjohan Lindfors, PhD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'Karolinska Institutet'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'NO'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Karolinska Institutet', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'collaborators': [{'name': 'Praktikertjänst AB (Ltd)', 'class': 'OTHER'}], 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'investigatorTitle': 'MD, PhD', 'investigatorFullName': 'Perjohan Lindfors', 'investigatorAffiliation': 'Karolinska Institutet'}}}}
