The main aims are:\n\n1. The primary aim of this study is to assess an objective process for the classification of burn size using the DermaMonitor wound camera.\n2. An exploratory aim of this study is to begin to train an Artificial Intelligence (AI) program to classify burn depth (1st, 2nd, 3rd degree) using the 3D images from this novel wound camera.\n\nResearchers will compare DermaMonitor size classification and AI depth classification to clinician determinations. Participants will have images taken of their burn. Participation ends when the images are taken.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '89 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'samplingMethod': 'NON_PROBABILITY_SAMPLE', 'studyPopulation': 'Adult patients presenting outpatient to the Regions Hospital burn clinic after a burn', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adults sustaining burns\n* Outpatients\n* No prior surgery on the wounds\n* No known infection of the wounds\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Burns to the face or sensitive areas (genitals)\n* Burns located on or near identifying landmarks such as tattoos or birthmarks\n* Non-English speaking patients\n* Patients unable to sign their name\n* Burn occurred greater than 7 days prior to clinic visit\n* Age greater than 90 (Patient age is sent externally to IKO, to ensure no PHI is sent, patients with an age \\>90 will not be enrolled)'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT06938061', 'briefTitle': 'Utilizing 3D Imaging for Burn Wound Assessment', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'HealthPartners Institute'}, 'officialTitle': 'Integrating 3D Imaging Technology for Precise Burn Wound Assessment', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'A24-362'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'label': '1st Degree Burn', 'description': 'Patients presenting to Regions Hospital Burn Clinic with a 1st degree burn', 'interventionNames': ['Device: 3D Imaging']}, {'label': '2nd Degree Burn', 'description': 'Patients presenting to Regions Hospital Burn Clinic with a 2nd degree burn', 'interventionNames': ['Device: 3D Imaging']}, {'label': '3rd Degree Burn', 'description': 'Patients presenting to Regions Hospital Burn Clinic with a 3rd degree burn', 'interventionNames': ['Device: 3D Imaging']}], 'interventions': [{'name': '3D Imaging', 'type': 'DEVICE', 'otherNames': ['DermaMonitor Camera'], 'description': "The Derma Monitor device is a handheld, battery powered camera incorporating polarized LED illumination, a high-resolution CMOS color image sensor and a 3D depth sensor, allowing for the imaging and mapping of a patient's skin.", 'armGroupLabels': ['1st Degree Burn', '2nd Degree Burn', '3rd Degree Burn']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '55101', 'city': 'Saint Paul', 'state': 'Minnesota', 'status': 'RECRUITING', 'country': 'United States', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Nicholas Larson', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'RegionsSurgicalResearch@HealthPartners.Com', 'phone': '651-254-4846'}, {'name': 'Alexandra Lacey, MD, RD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR'}], 'facility': 'Regions Hospital Burn Clinic', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 44.94441, 'lon': -93.09327}}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'NO', 'description': 'Consent form does not explicitly approve sharing of data with external sources.'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'HealthPartners Institute', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'SPONSOR'}}}}
