However, studies done in post cardiac surgery patients are limited by their small sample size (4-22 patients with overall of 51 patients), non-randomized pacing protocol and by their inability to determine a definitive mechanism for the improved hemodynamics observed with BVP. Therefore, we propose to complete a pilot study aimed at determining both the magnitude of the hemodynamic benefit associated with BVP, if any. In addition, we will investigate changes in intra-ventricular septal motion as a possible mechanism for the previously observed changes in cardiac hemodynamics.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': "Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* All elective/emergent patients requiring isolated coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) at St. Michael's Hospital.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient's age \\< 18 years.\n* Known atrial fibrillation.\n* Sinus tachycardia \\> 100 beats per minute (bpm).\n* Post-operative CI \\< 2.\n* High inotrope dosage post-operation:\n\n * Dopamine (Intropin) if \\> 10 µg/kg/min.\n * Dobutamine (Dobutrex) if \\> 10 µg/kg/min.\n * Norepinephrine (Levophed) if \\> 0.1 µg/kg/min.\n * Epinephrine if \\> 0.1 µg/kg/min.\n* Need for intraaortic balloon pump (IABP).\n* Unable or unwilling to give informed consent.\n* Already participating in another clinical trial."}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT00316368', 'briefTitle': 'A Study to Determine the Effect of Bi-Ventricular Pacing on Cardiac Hemodynamics After Coronary Artery Bypass Graft', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Unity Health Toronto'}, 'officialTitle': 'A Study to Determine the Effect of Bi-Ventricular Pacing on Cardiac Hemodynamics After Coronary Artery Bypass Graft', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '05-318'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'interventions': [{'name': 'Ethicon TPW32 60 cm (pacing wires x 2)', 'type': 'DEVICE'}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': 'M5B 1W8', 'city': 'Toronto', 'state': 'Ontario', 'country': 'Canada', 'facility': "St. Michael's Hospital", 'geoPoint': {'lat': 43.70643, 'lon': -79.39864}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'David Latter, MD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'University of Toronto'}]}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Unity Health Toronto', 'class': 'OTHER'}}}}
