The aim of the YouCanPrefer-study is to explore preferences, expectations, implementation, experiences, and effects of participating in in-person group yoga sessions at a yoga studio compared to participating in online-yoga at home for patients with cancer undergoing oncological treatment. Additionally, the aim is to study health-related outcomes of yoga. Patients diagnosed with cancer undergoing oncological treatment at two hospitals in Sweden will be included in the study. A preference-based allocation will be used, participants chose self if they want to participate in in-person yoga at a studio or in yoga online. Regardless of allocation, the yoga sessions will take place in a group setting once a week for a duration of 12 weeks. All participants will also have access to a yoga application on their tablets or cell phones, with a recommendation to engage in self-guided yoga for at least 10 minutes per day.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnosed with cancer and scheduled for or initiated oncological treatment at an oncology clinic.\n* Received written information about the study.\n* Willing to participate in the study and able to follow the protocol.\n* Understanding and expressing themselves in Swedish.\n* Age ≥ 18 years.\n* Provided informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with severe cognitive impairments such as dementia and serious psychiatric illness.\n* Patients with significant physical disabilities that may hinder yoga.\n* Patients with difficulties completing questionnaires.\n* Expected survival of less than 3 months.'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT06248450', 'acronym': 'YouCanPrefer', 'briefTitle': 'Medical YOga dUring CANcer Treatment in a Digital or Physical Setting - a PREFERensbased Study', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER_GOV', 'fullName': 'Linkoeping University'}, 'officialTitle': 'Medical Yoga During Cancer Treatment in a Digital or Physical Setting - a Preference-based Study', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '2023-04481-01'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'OTHER', 'label': 'Physical setting', 'description': 'Medical yoga at a yoga local led by a yoga-instructor for 75 minutes once a week and individual yoga for a minimum of 10 minutes daily using a yoga-application for 12 weeks.', 'interventionNames': ['Other: Medical yoga']}, {'type': 'OTHER', 'label': 'Digital setting', 'description': 'Medical yoga online using videoconference system led by a yoga-instructor for 75 minutes once a week and individual yoga for a minimum of 10 minutes daily using a yoga-application for 12 weeks.', 'interventionNames': ['Other: Medical yoga']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Medical yoga', 'type': 'OTHER', 'description': 'Medical yoga is a therapeutic form of Kundalini yoga led by a certified yoga instructor that uses different standardized yoga programs with a combination of physical postures, breathingexercises, and relaxation/meditation.', 'armGroupLabels': ['Digital setting', 'Physical setting']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '58185', 'city': 'Linköping', 'status': 'RECRUITING', 'country': 'Sweden', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Anna-Karin Ax, PHD', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'anna-karin.ax@regionostergotland.se', 'phone': '+46101039360'}], 'facility': 'Department of oncology, university hospital', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 58.41086, 'lon': 15.62157}}], 'centralContacts': [{'name': 'Anna Strömberg, PHD', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'anna.stromberg@liu.se', 'phone': '+46-73-6569265'}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Anna Strömberg, PHD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'Department of Medical and Health sciences, Linköping university, Sweden'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'NO'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Linkoeping University', 'class': 'OTHER_GOV'}, 'collaborators': [{'name': 'University Hospital, Linkoeping', 'class': 'OTHER'}, {'name': 'Ryhov County Hospital', 'class': 'OTHER'}], 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'investigatorTitle': 'professor', 'investigatorFullName': 'Anna Stroemberg', 'investigatorAffiliation': 'Linkoeping University'}}}}
