To assess the knowledge , attitude and practices of different types of family planning method among women of reproductive age group, and their correlation with socidemographic and socioeconomic factors .\n2. To identify the reasons which withhold the practices of contraceptive methods .\n3. To provide baseline information that may help in improving family planning education and counseling services.', 'detailedDescription': "Family planning is a key aspect of reproductive health that enables individuals and couples to decide freely on the number and spacing of their children. Effective use of contraceptive methods helps prevent unintended pregnancies and supports maternal and child well-being . Despite its importance, many women lack sufficient knowledge about the variety of contraceptive options available. Limited awareness about how to use these methods correctly can reduce their effectiveness and lead to irregular or incorrect use. Socioeconomic and reproductive factors play a crucial role in shaping women's use of family planning, as elements such as educational level, income, occupation, age at marriage, source of information, number of pregnancies, and number of living children can all influence both attitudes and practical use of contraceptives . Access to healthcare services, including counseling and education, is another critical factor affecting the uptake of family planning methods, and women who receive proper guidance are more likely to choose and continue using suitable contraceptives . Community expectations and family support also impact contraceptive practices, as influence from friends and close social circles can either encourage or discourage women from using family planning methods . Local assessments in Egypt, including in Assiut, show differences in knowledge and practice among population groups, and understanding these variations is essential for designing effective educational programs and interventions to improve family planning utilization ."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'FEMALE', 'stdAges': ['ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '49 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'samplingMethod': 'NON_PROBABILITY_SAMPLE', 'studyPopulation': 'married women between 18 - 49 years', 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Married women aged between ( 18- 49 ) .\n* Attending antenatal care (ANC) at selected health facilities.\n* Willing to give informed consent\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Women with known psychiatric or cognitive impairments affecting judgment..\n* Women outside the reproductive age range (\\<18 or \\>49 years).\n* Women who refuse to give consent or withdraw during the study'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT07464067', 'briefTitle': 'Family Planning Methods Among Women in Assuit Egypt', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Assiut University'}, 'officialTitle': 'Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Different Family Planning Methods Among Women in Assiut,Egypt: a Cross Sectional Study', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'family planning methods'}}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'city': 'Asyut', 'country': 'Egypt', 'facility': 'Assuit University Hospital', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 27.18096, 'lon': 31.18368}}], 'centralContacts': [{'name': 'kerols tarek fathy, MBBCh', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'kerotarek049@gmail.com', 'phone': '+201276590406'}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'ahmed mohamed abo el hasn, MD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'faculty of medicine'}, {'name': 'Ali Haroun ali, MD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'faculty of medicine'}, {'name': 'ahmed aboelsoud abden, MD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'faculty of medicine'}]}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Assiut University', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'investigatorTitle': 'dr', 'investigatorFullName': 'Kerols Tarek Fathy', 'investigatorAffiliation': 'Assiut University'}}}}
