Usually multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging is used for the detection and targeted therapy of prostate cancer, but its accuracy remains imperfect. Micro-ultrasound may be superior as it provides real-time tumor visualization which may simplify and improve prostate cancer targeted therapy.
