It may also help doctors predict how well patients will respond to treatment.\n\nPURPOSE: This research study is studying biomarkers in predicting response to rituximab treatment in samples from patients with indolent follicular lymphoma.', 'detailedDescription': "OBJECTIVES:\n\nPrimary\n\n* Genotype the full cohort of samples available from the RESORT clinical trial (ECOG-E4402) for FCGR3A 158V/F in parallel to independently verify results.\n* Correlate the FCGR3A 158V/F polymorphisms to response, response duration, and time to rituximab resistance.\n\nSecondary\n\n* Quantify copy number variation in FCGR3A in this cohort.\n\nOUTLINE: Archived DNA samples isolate from peripheral blood mononuclear cells and from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue samples are analyzed for FCGR3A 158V/F polymorphisms using different complementary genotyping methods. Assay results are reviewed and compared with patients' outcome data."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '120 Years', 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'samplingMethod': 'NON_PROBABILITY_SAMPLE', 'studyPopulation': 'Samples from patients enrolled in E4402 from whom samples were submitted for research', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'DISEASE CHARACTERISTICS:\n\n* Diagnosed with indolent follicular lymphoma\n* Treated on RESORT trial (ECOG-E4402) comprising rituximab monotherapy and then randomized to rituximab maintenance therapy or retreatment with rituximab upon disease relapse\n\n * Blood and tissue samples from patients available\n\nPATIENT CHARACTERISTICS:\n\n* Not specified\n\nPRIOR CONCURRENT THERAPY:\n\n* See Disease Characteristics'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT01381705', 'briefTitle': 'Biomarkers in Predicting Response to Rituximab Treatment in Samples From Patients With Indolent Follicular Lymphoma', 'organization': {'class': 'NETWORK', 'fullName': 'Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group'}, 'officialTitle': 'Validating the Predictive Value (of Response to Rituximab Induction and Maintenance) of the FCGR3A 158V/F Polymorphism Using Complimentary Genotyping Methods', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'CDR0000701978'}, 'secondaryIdInfos': [{'id': 'ECOG-E4402T2'}]}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'interventions': [{'name': 'rituximab', 'type': 'BIOLOGICAL'}, {'name': 'DNA analysis', 'type': 'GENETIC'}, {'name': 'gene expression analysis', 'type': 'GENETIC'}, {'name': 'polymorphism analysis', 'type': 'GENETIC'}, {'name': 'laboratory biomarker analysis', 'type': 'OTHER'}, {'name': 'medical chart review', 'type': 'OTHER'}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Brad S.
