Other parameters that will be compared between the two groups are blood pressure, heart rhythm, weight gain between dialysis treatments, and fatigue after the treatment.', 'detailedDescription': 'This is a prospective, randomized, single-blinded cross-over non-inferiority trial of intra- and early post-dialytic glucose homeostasis comparing 100 mg/dL against 200 mg/dL dialysate glucose concentration in 30 hemodialysis patients. The primary outcome is the frequency and magnitude of hypoglycemia during and early after the hemodialysis treatment. Secondary outcomes include intradialytic blood pressure, interdialytic weight gain, serum potassium and phosphorus concentrations, arrhythmias during dialysis and in the early postdialytic period, and postdialytic fatigue.\n\nInclusion criteria:\n\nAge ≥ 18 years\n\nMaintenance hemodialysis with hemodialysis vintage of at least 30 days\n\nAbility to read and understand the English language and give informed consent\n\nExclusion criteria:\n\nDialysis treatment frequencies other than three times per week\n\nHospitalizations or antibiotics-dependent infection during the 8 weeks preceding enrollment\n\nCentral venous catheter as hemodialysis access'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age ≥ 18 years\n* Maintenance hemodialysis with hemodialysis vintage of at least 30 days\n* Ability to read and understand the English language and give informed consent\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Dialysis treatment frequencies other than three times per week\n* Hospitalisations or antibiotics-dependent infection during the 8 weeks preceding enrollment\n* Central venous catheter as hemodialysis access'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT00618033', 'acronym': 'Dextrose', 'briefTitle': 'Comparison of Different Glucose Concentrations in Dialysate of Hemodialysis Patients', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Renal Research Institute'}, 'officialTitle': 'Short-Term Study of Physiologic Dialysate Glucose Concentration in Chronic Hemodialysis Patients', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '169-07'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'ACTIVE_COMPARATOR', 'label': '1', 'interventionNames': ['Procedure: Hemodialysis']}, {'type': 'ACTIVE_COMPARATOR', 'label': '2', 'interventionNames': ['Procedure: Hemodialysis']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Hemodialysis', 'type': 'PROCEDURE', 'description': 'varying concentration of glucose in dialysate', 'armGroupLabels': ['1', '2']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '10003', 'city': 'New York', 'state': 'New York', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': 'Irving Place Dialysis Center', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 40.71427, 'lon': -74.00597}}, {'zip': '10128', 'city': 'New York', 'state': 'New York', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': 'Yorkville Dialysis Center', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 40.71427, 'lon': -74.00597}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Nathan W.
