Treatment continues for up to 52 weeks in the absence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. After approximately 12 weeks of treatment, patients are evaluated for response and undergo surgical resection if clinically appropriate.\n\nPatients are followed for 1 year for survival.\n\nPROJECTED ACCRUAL: Approximately 20-40 patients will be accrued for this study within 2 years.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['CHILD', 'ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'DISEASE CHARACTERISTICS:\n\n* Histologically confirmed recurrent osteosarcoma after initial systemic therapy with doxorubicin\n* Measurable disease\n* Immunohistochemical evidence of 2+ overexpression of HER2\n\nPATIENT CHARACTERISTICS:\n\nAge:\n\n* Any age\n\nPerformance status:\n\n* Karnofsky 80-100%\n\nLife expectancy:\n\n* Not specified\n\nHematopoietic:\n\n* Not specified\n\nHepatic:\n\n* ALT or AST less than 3 times upper limit of normal (ULN)\n* Bilirubin less than 1.5 times ULN\n\nRenal:\n\n* Creatinine less than 1.5 times ULN OR\n* Creatinine clearance greater than 60 mL/min\n\nCardiovascular:\n\n* Fractional shortening at least 29% by echocardiogram OR\n* Ejection fraction at least 50% by MUGA\n* No prior cardiac dysfunction, even if presently controlled\n\nOther:\n\n* Not pregnant or nursing\n* Negative pregnancy test\n* Fertile patients must use effective contraception\n\nPRIOR CONCURRENT THERAPY:\n\nBiologic therapy:\n\n* Not specified\n\nChemotherapy:\n\n* See Disease Characteristics\n* At least 4 weeks since prior chemotherapy\n* No prior anthracycline more than 450 mg/m\\^2\n\nEndocrine therapy:\n\n* Not specified\n\nRadiotherapy:\n\n* Not specified\n\nSurgery:\n\n* Not specified\n\nOther:\n\n* No other concurrent cancer therapy'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT00005033', 'briefTitle': 'Trastuzumab in Treating Patients With Recurrent Osteosarcoma', 'organization': {'class': 'NIH', 'fullName': 'National Cancer Institute (NCI)'}, 'officialTitle': 'Phase II Study of Recombinant Humanized Monoclonal Antibody Against HER2 for the Treatment of Recurrent Osteosarcoma', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'CDR0000067558'}, 'secondaryIdInfos': [{'id': 'MSKCC-99097'}, {'id': 'NCI-T98-0083'}]}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'interventions': [{'name': 'trastuzumab', 'type': 'BIOLOGICAL'}, {'name': 'conventional surgery', 'type': 'PROCEDURE'}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '91010-3000', 'city': 'Duarte', 'state': 'California', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': 'City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 34.13945, 'lon': -117.97729}}, {'zip': '02115', 'city': 'Boston', 'state': 'Massachusetts', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': 'Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center at Dana Farber Cancer Institute', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 42.35843, 'lon': -71.05977}}, {'zip': '10021', 'city': 'New York', 'state': 'New York', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': 'Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 40.71427, 'lon': -74.00597}}, {'zip': '38105-2794', 'city': 'Memphis', 'state': 'Tennessee', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital", 'geoPoint': {'lat': 35.14953, 'lon': -90.04898}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Paul A.
