This study will compare the effects of MJ and Marinol use in marijuana smokers who are HIV infected.', 'detailedDescription': "Little is known about the efficacy and tolerability of oral THC versus smoked MJ in a clinically relevant population. Additionally, it is not clear how THC's effects vary as a function of the duration of treatment or the patient's current patterns of smoked MJ use. This study directly compares 3 doses of smoked marijuana and 3 doses of Marinol across a range of behavioral measures in HIV infected marijuana smokers.\n\nOutcome measures will include analysis of food intake, body composition, mood, physical symptoms (e.g., nausea, stomach pain), psychomotor task performance, and sleep."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT'], 'maximumAge': '50 Years', 'minimumAge': '21 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria\n\n* HIV infected\n* Smoke marijuana\n* Taking HIV medications\n\nExclusion criteria\n\n* Naive marijuana smokers\n* People with history of respiratory/pulmonary disease'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT00079560', 'briefTitle': 'Comparing the Effects of Smoked and Oral Marijuana in Individuals With HIV/AIDS', 'organization': {'class': 'NIH', 'fullName': 'National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)'}, 'officialTitle': 'THC and Marijuana--Effects in Individuals With HIV/AIDS', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '1R01DA012698-01A1', 'link': 'https://reporter.nih.gov/quickSearch/1R01DA012698-01A1', 'type': 'NIH'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'interventions': [{'name': 'dronabinol', 'type': 'DRUG', 'description': 'dronabinol to prevent development of marijuana withdrawal'}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '10032', 'city': 'New York', 'state': 'New York', 'country': 'United States', 'facility': 'New York State Psychiatric Institute', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 40.71427, 'lon': -74.00597}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Margaret Haney, PhD', 'role': 'PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR', 'affiliation': 'New York State Psychiatric Institute'}]}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)', 'class': 'NIH'}, 'responsibleParty': {'oldNameTitle': 'Jag H.
