At present, there have been published studies on the application of medications, cold compresses, warm compresses, massages, gua sha and cabbage leaves compression to breast problems during lactation. Previous studies have shown that cabbage leaves compression can relieve the breast engorgement, pain, and hardness of postpartum women. However, safety concerns related to freshness, preservation, and residual pesticides must be considered when using cabbage leaves in a clinical setting. The purpose of this study was to examine whether breast mask containing cabbage leaves extract can improve breast engorgement, pain, and hardness.'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'FEMALE', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'genderBased': True, 'genderDescription': 'yes', 'healthyVolunteers': True, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Over 18 years old.\n* Breastfeeding.\n* Physiological breast swelling, breast heaviness, lumps, milk plugging, breast pain after childbirth.\n* Able to read and understand Chinese.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Stillbirth\n* Allergy to cabbage or sulfa.\n* lactation inhibitors agents used.\n* Fever symptoms (\\> 38 degrees Celsius), including: wound infection, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection.\n* Breast symptoms, including: nipple cracks, skin damage, breast abscesses, mastitis, Malignant tumors.\n* Postpartum complications, including: postpartum hemorrhage, amniotic fluid embolism or other diseases requiring close care.'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT07017894', 'acronym': 'BMCCLE', 'briefTitle': 'Applying Breast Mask Containing Cabbage Leaves Extract to Relieve Breast Discomfort in Breastfeeding Women', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER_GOV', 'fullName': 'Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan'}, 'officialTitle': 'Applying Breast Mask Containing Cabbage Leaves Extract to Relieve Breast Discomfort in Breastfeeding Women:A Double-blind Randomized Controlled Trial', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': '2025-04-009A'}, 'secondaryIdInfos': [{'id': 'ACIC-114-005', 'type': 'OTHER', 'domain': 'Taipei Veterans General Hospital'}]}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'breast mask containing cabbage leaves extract group', 'description': 'Apply the breast mask containing cabbage leaf extract to the breasts, avoiding the nipples, for 20 minutes, 2 times a day, for 3 days.', 'interventionNames': ['Combination Product: Experimental: breast mask containing cabbage leaves extract group']}, {'type': 'SHAM_COMPARATOR', 'label': 'breast mask without cabbage leaves extract group', 'description': 'Apply a breast mask without cabbage leaves extract to the breasts, avoiding the nipples, for 20 minutes, 2 times a day, for 3 days.', 'interventionNames': ['Combination Product: Sham Comparator']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'Experimental: breast mask containing cabbage leaves extract group', 'type': 'COMBINATION_PRODUCT', 'description': 'apply breast mask to the breasts, avoiding the nipples, for 20 minutes, 2 times a day, for 3 days', 'armGroupLabels': ['breast mask containing cabbage leaves extract group']}, {'name': 'Sham Comparator', 'type': 'COMBINATION_PRODUCT', 'description': 'Apply a breast mask without cabbage leaves extract to the breasts, avoiding the nipples, for 20 minutes, 2 times a day, for 3 days.', 'armGroupLabels': ['breast mask without cabbage leaves extract group']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '112304', 'city': 'Taipei', 'state': 'Beitou Dist', 'country': 'Taiwan', 'contacts': [{'name': 'Taipei Veterans General Hospital', 'role': 'CONTACT'}], 'facility': 'Taipei Veterans General Hospital', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 25.05306, 'lon': 121.52639}}], 'centralContacts': [{'name': 'Shu Chen Liao', 'role': 'CONTACT', 'email': 'scliao@vghtpe.gov.tw', 'phone': '+886228712121', 'phoneExt': '82003'}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'UNDECIDED'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan', 'class': 'OTHER_GOV'}, 'collaborators': [{'name': 'National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University', 'class': 'OTHER'}], 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'SPONSOR'}}}}
