Anesthesia is maintained with sevoflurane or propofol. Before induction of anesthesia a transthoracic echocardiography is performed to examine systolic and diastolic function. Immediately after induction, during maintenance and after completion of anesthesia any changes of diastolic function are examined with transthoracic echocardiography.
