Pre Assignment Details: Volunteers were excluded if they were pregnant, had a history of allergic reaction to prior jellyfish or insect sting, a family history of severe allergic reaction to jellyfish or insect sting, or a history of heart or lung disease.
Recruitment Details: Healthy human subjects were recruited by advertisement on Stanford University campus during the months of May and June, 2013 for a study that took place within a medical ward within a hospital during July, 2013. 97 patients were enrolled.
