Pre Assignment Details: This study was conducted in 2 distinct parts (Part A and Part B), Part A was a 52-week double-blind treatment phase and Part B was a 104-week long-term extension phase with the option to receive open-label sirukumab (SIR) (up to a 52-week duration of open-label treatment). This study was terminated early by sponsor.
Recruitment Details: This was a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sirukumab in treatment of participants with Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA). A total of 161 participants were enrolled.
