Event Group

Event Groups are part of the Adverse Events Module within the Results Section. They provide a way to organize and summarize adverse event data by grouping related events together.

Each Event Group typically represents a category or class of adverse events and includes statistical information such as the number of participants affected and at risk for different event types: deaths, serious events, and other events.

Event Group path is as follows:

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Event Group

Title: Sham NIR-PBM
Description: Participants randomized to the Sham control group will undergo identical procedures as the Active group. The only difference is that the "sham" NIR devices are modified not to deliver stimulation. Because NIR is invisible, participants are unable to detect whether NIR is being delivered. Sham NIR-PBM: The MedX sham and Vielight interventions device are identical in all respects to the active device, except that the MedX console and diode clusters were modified to NOT deliver NIR light when turned on. The sham MedX devices were modified to deliver 'warmth', similar to that of the active devices. As with the active condition, a total of six sham interventions were given over a 12-week period, following the identical procedures described in the active condition
