Event Group

Event Groups are part of the Adverse Events Module within the Results Section. They provide a way to organize and summarize adverse event data by grouping related events together.

Each Event Group typically represents a category or class of adverse events and includes statistical information such as the number of participants affected and at risk for different event types: deaths, serious events, and other events.

Event Group path is as follows:

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Event Group

Title: Control (Antiplatelet Agents)
Description: Control: Patients will be treated with standard of care based antiplatelet treatment - choice at the discretion of the investigator. Low dose aspirin (single agent) will be the choice of most physicians, some will chose to use the combination of aspirin and clopidogrel. As this is a multi-centre, international trial where local practices will vary, rather than mandating a specific antiplatelet agent, we will allow the local investigator to chose which antithrombotic regime should be used. Standard of care medication(s) should be given immediately upon randomization.
