* adult patient with cardiac arrest hospitalized at University of Chicago Hospitals
Exclusion Criteria:
* pregnant
* arrest in ER or OR
* pediatric patient
* patient DNR, no CPR given
* no CPR given for other reasons (e.g. shock only)
