* stable chronic kidney disease
Exclusion Criteria:
* unable/unwilling to give informed consent;
* pregnant or breast-feeding;
* known allergy to shellfish, iodine or inulin;
* have evidence of impaired bladder emptying defined as a post-void residual of greater than 20 ml.
