* Clinical diagnosis of perianal abscess.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Patients who are unable or unwilling to consent.
* Known fistulae
* Crohn's Disease
* Immune-suppression or malignancy
* Recurrent abscess (where initial drainage insufficient).
