Inclusion Criteria:
* all patients admitted to PICU until the 18th year of age
* expected length of stay \> 48 hours
Exclusion Criteria:
* oncology patients
* immunosuppressive therapy
* immunostimulant therapy
* autoimmune disease
* post-organ transplant patient
* thrombocytopaenia, thrombocytopathy
