* meeting the definition of epilepsy according to the new definition issued by ILAE in 2014
* not using antidepressants
* acquiring informed consents
Exclusion Criteria:
* patients with severe psychiatric symptoms;
* progressive brain diseases
* malignant tumors
* severe cognitive declines
