* CD4 T cell count \>200cells/μl
* on ART
Exclusion Criteria:
* no previously recorded allergy to PCV, PPV23
* no intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) given within the previous 6 months
* no other vaccine given within the previous 6 months
