* documented familial hypercholesterolemia
* age 18-60 years
* on statin treatment for at least 12 months
Exclusion Criteria:
* pregnancy or planned pregnancy
* breast feeding
* cancer
* non-compliance
* PUFA/omega-3 \< 3 months before inclusion
