* age \> 18 years old
* acquisition of informed consent for surgery and for inclusion in the study;
* elective open or laparoscopic PD
Exclusion Criteria:
* age \<to 18 years;
* absence of informed consent for inclusion in the study;
* Emergency surgery;
* other pancreatic resections (not PD).
