* PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension)
* WHO functional class II-III
Exclusion Criteria:
* WHO functional class I or IV
* pregnancy
* known intolerance or allergy to beetroot
* treatment with Allopurinol
* treatment with Iloprost (inhaled)
* systolic bloodpressure \< 95 mmHg
* diabetes mellitus type 2
