* histologic or cytologic proof of advanced lung adenocarcinoma
* primary treatment
* normal organ function
* Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status 0 to 2
Exclusion Criteria:
* Symptomatic patients with brain metastases
* Major organ dysfunction and severe heart disease
