Eligibility Criteria:
Inclusion Criteria:
* presence of dental caries requiring filling with local anesthesia on first or second primary molar
* presence of dental caries requiring filling with local anesthesia on the contralateral primary molar
Exclusion Criteria:
* gingivitis
* dental abscesses, facial traumas/injuries
* drugs (NSAIDS, paracetamol, antibiotics)
