Eligibility Criteria:
Inclusion Criteria:
* Patients 18 years old or older with NCSE. NCSE includes the following subtypes:
* simple partial NCSE
* complex partial status epilpeticus
* Absence status
* NCSE in critical illness
* Written informed consent should be signed.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Age below 20
* Known intolerance to the study drug levetiracetam
* Known pregnancy
* Postanoxic SE
* Subtle SE
