* • American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) status: 1 or 2 .
* Unilateral inguinal hernia
Exclusion Criteria:
* •spinal abnormality
* bilateral inguinal hernia repair
* Bleeding or coagulation diathesis.
* History of known sensitivity to the used anesthetics.
* Parental refusal of consent.
