* Primary, unilateral and bilateral groin hernias
Exclusion Criteria:
* No written informed consent
* Recurrent hernias
* 'Incarcerated' hernias
* pregnant women: reaction of a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field on the foetus is unknown
* Patients with pacemaker or Internal defibrillator
