Inclusion Criteria:
* over 18 years of age
* present AKI
* requiring renal replacement therapy
* hospitalized at the ICU.
Exclusion Criteria:
* acute kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy prior to admission to the ICU
* chronic kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy prior to admission to the ICU
* history of past CRRT.
