* children who answer the pediatric ROME III criteria for IBS
Exclusion Criteria:
* Other diagnosis (e.g. inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease).
* Patient receiving chronic medical therapy.
* Patient already on a restrictive diet (e.g. gluten-free, lactose-free)
