* patients candidated for total knee arthroplasty
* hip mobility range of at least 30 °
* BMI \<35kg / m2
* Aged between 40 and 80 years
Exclusion Criteria:
* ipsilateral hip arthrodesis or ankylosis
* non-perforable femoral medullary canal
* 165 °\<HKA \<195 °
* BMI\> 35kg / m2
