* bilateral age-related cataract
* age 55 to 80 years
* expected postoperative visual acuity of at least 0.5
Exclusion Criteria:
* amblyopia
* corneal scars
* diabetes
* pseudoexfoliation-syndrome
* earlier ocular surgeries or laser treatments
* intraocular tumors
