* coronary artery bypass grafting surgery
* valvular surgery
Exclusion Criteria:
* liver disease (GPT 2 times greater than normal limits)
* chronic renal insufficiency (Creatinine \> 2.0 mg/dL)
* neoplastic diseases
* taking steroids
* congestive heart failure
