Inclusion Criteria:
* elective, thoracotomy patients with a surgical intention to cure.
* age between 18 and 80 years.
* ECOG 0 - 2 post-thoracotomy.
Exclusion Criteria:
* patients with chronic pain.
* a previous thoracotomy.
* comorbidity limiting rehabilitation.
* non-compliance
