* knee arthroplasty
* ages 18-80
Exclusion Criteria:
* history of neurological disease
* diabetes
* pregnancy
* neuropathy
* chronic narcotic use
* allergy to local anesthetic solution or NSAIDS
* inability to give consent or cooperate with the study protocol
