* age more than 20 years old
* severe traumatic brain injury defined as Glasgow coma scale \< 8
Exclusion Criteria:
* pregnancy
* infection at the forehead
* status epilepticus
* history of drug addiction
* severe traumatic brain injury combination with metabolic causes
